Welcome to Little Blooms Pediatric Speech and Feeding Therapy! My goal is to provide the highest quality services for your most important loved ones. With compassion and the ability to connect, I am dedicated to helping children communicate to the best of their ability, in addition to learning how to eat/drink safely and efficiently.  I provide individualized therapy to support your child's unique needs and empower parents/caregivers through coaching and guidance.​

 Little Blooms provides comprehensive speech-language evaluations that target communication concerns. Oral motor, feeding, and swallowing evaluations can be performed in conjunction with communication concerns or separately.

Feeding Therapy

Feeding therapy focuses on safe and efficient ability to eat and drink developmentally appropriate foods and liquids. May focus on the following:

  • Expanding variety and/or increasing volume of dietary intake to include all food groups and textures

  • Developing chewing skills (oral motor skills for eating/drinking)

  •  Reducing avoidance behaviors during mealtime

  • Teaching self-feeding skills

Speech and language therapy helps with learning how to and/or improving your child's ability to communicate with others. Little Blooms can treat a wide variety of speech and language disorders.

Meet Justine McEvoy

Justine McEvoy, M.S., CCC-SLP is the owner of Little Blooms Pediatric Speech and Feeding Therapy, PLLC. 

She earned her Bachelors of Science in Communication Disorders at SUNY New Paltz, followed by her Masters of Science In Speech Language Pathology at New York Medical College. Justine is currently licensed in North Carolina and nationally certified through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). 

 

Over the past 15 years and counting, she has worked in a variety of pediatric settings including an outpatient feeding clinic, private speech and language clinics, specialized schools, in homes, preschools, and outpatient clinics. Throughout her years of experience, Justine has gained a specialized skill set and knowledge while continuing to educate herself on recent evidence based research in order to provide a wide range of expertise.

 

Justine has a passion for helping children and their families achieving their goals. She believes that family/caregiver involvement is critical for the most successful outcomes. In addition, Justine finds there is significant benefit from communication and/or co-treating with other therapists, such as physical or occupational therapists, as there is often correlation with skills. 

 

Justine lives in Charlotte with her husband, Kyle, and their twin daughter and son. She enjoys the outdoors, from hiking the Pacific North West to relaxing on the beaches along the east coast. Justine enjoys crafting, reading, baking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
